A project pipeline is a (visual) representation of all potential and active projects within an organization, outlining the stages of a project’s lifecycle, typically from ideation to completion. It provides a structured method for evaluating, and executing projects.
Project pipeline value refers to the total potential worth or estimated revenue of all projects currently in an organization’s project pipeline. In essence, it is a crucial metric that quantifies the future financial and strategic benefits anticipated from the projects under consideration or development.
In the Pharma R&D Manager game the pipeline value is the sum of all projects’ rNPVs (risk adjusted Net Present Value) before market launch (excluding terminated projects), plus the projected revenue of all launched projects (products on the market) for the next years (in this simulation we take the next 4 years).
